Summer Discovery Ride - Craigs Moss

New for 2025, are our Monthly Midweek Meanders. These are really what they say on the tin: they’re a midweek evening ride of around 10 miles each month. They are equivalent to the longer routes we did as part of the previous programme of Summer Discovery Rides, but quite a bit shorter than the Curiosity Rides.

This month's 10 mile route is a circular taking in either side of the Craigs. Heading along the river we'll cycle through Dock Park, Castledykes Park and the Crichton to Maidenbower, after which we pick up the Craigs Road out of town. After ascending to Bankend Road we turn back into town, meandering over to the Glencaple Road and down to Kingholm Quay where we'll ride back along the river path.

Rides continue regardless of the weather, unless the ride leader decides it would be dangerous (or no fun) – we normally don’t ride if there are weather warnings or snow and ice on the roads.

There’s no need to book but if you use Facebook you can sign up for the event via our Facebook page.
