Join us with your children for Community Forest School here at Mersehead nature reserve!
BOOKING ESSENTIAL - we recommend booking sessions in blocks of 4, for your children to benefit more from different activities each time.
IMPORTANT:
> Bookings required before 5pm on the Friday before each event takes place.
> Children taking part MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY RESPONSIBLE ADULT during each session.
Community Forest School involves learning that is in tune with nature. It’s aim is to promote new skills, confidence, self-esteem and team building while participants take part in fun outdoor activities at Mersehead.
Join our qualified volunteers to experience different themes about the environment and nature, while being outdoors to enjoy the fresh air and fun with others.
Workshops cost £5 per child, aimed at children aged 5-11yrs.
Payment can be made onsite on the day for individual sessions or for the full block of 4 sessions (card or phone payments accepted at the reserve visitor centre, cash can be paid at session).
We recommend that children always come with:
• Waterproofs: Puddle suit or separate coat and trousers.
• Footwear: Sturdy waterproof shoes or wellington boots.
• Clothing: Long-sleeved tops and trousers/leggings (to avoid stings and scratches).
• Layers of clothes: Particularly in winter months and when the temperature is cold warm layers can be taken off and put on as the children need.
• ...and of course, lots of enthusiasm! 🙂
This should keep your kids comfortable and safe during Community Forest School activities.
Children must be accompanied by adults during the sessions.
