An Evening With Sir Chris Hoy- In conversation with Lorraine Kelly

Events 105 are delighted to bring a true sporting great and one of Scotland’s favourite sons to Dundee for an evening at The Whitehall Theatre.

Hosted by Lorraine Kelly, you will hear all about the life of an achiever , a man who conquered the world of cycling winning an amazing 11 world titles and 6 Olympic gold medals along the way .

Since being inspired to cycle at the age of 6 by the 1982 film E.T all the way through to his retirement in 2013, Sir Chris has taken on and beaten all before him representing Great Britain at the Olympics and World Championships and of course Scotland at the Commonwealth Games.

Winning his first Olympic gold medal in the Kilometre time trial at the 2004 Athens Olympics he later became the first British male athlete to win three gold medals in a single Olympic Games at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Retiring from competitive cycling in 2013 by winch time he had amassed a total of six Olympic Gold Medals and one Silver .

Since retiring Sir Chris pursued a career in motorsport becoming a successful driver , has authored several best selling books and is a leading motivational speaker .

Of course any story of Sir Chris can’t be had without sadly mentioning recent events . Diagnosed with stage 4 prostate in September 2023 Sir Chris announced his condition was terminal in October 2024.

This is sure to be a truly special, inspirational and no doubt at times emotional evening and one that is not to be missed .
