A revolutionary sing-along, poetry open mic & zine sharing with traveling folk artist Average Joey and local artists. Congregate with comrades and community members – let us lift our voices against despair, disconnection, and disappearance.

Average Joey is a traveling songwriter and musician from Pennsylvania. With an emphasis on lyricism, Joey's songs mix the vulnerability of personal reflection with the political commentary of speaking truth to power. As entertaining as he is honest, as self-aware as he is philosophical, Average Joey’s live show blends musical performance, spoken word poetry, and acapella style group singing to engage the audience with a variety of instrumentation and presentation. His lyrics and poetry offer dark humor, blunt honesty, and image driven word play. Joey does not shy away from the big picture, and the struggles of the people, but presents their stories in a relatable and accessible way. An Average Joey performance invites us to laugh at the absurdities of our times and challenges the audience to envision a better world in order to start building it together.
