DYC Sunday Inshore races are finished for the year, but Shing-a-Ling wants to go sailing and have some fun while giving our crew a chance to try out some different roles on our boat. Join us if you like and if there's another boat or more out, then we can make a little race out of it.
The "race" is everybody sails a (CCW) Inshore Triangle course, using their usual Bermuda Start times, and the first boat across the finish line wins.
The catch is that everybody on board has to sail a new position on the boat that what they usually do, and skipper/owners cannot go aft of the mast shrouds from 5 minutes before their start until after finishing the race.
For this day, a foredecker gets to drive and a driver has to foredeck and everybody gets to have a fun time and try something new.
It's all for fun, so safety and seamanship is most important. Join us on Sunday for a fun day on the water. And questions or whatever, contact Bob Asher. This isn't a DYC event, so there's no Organizing Authority or Race Committee or insurance or anything like that - sail at your own risk and don't be a donkey. It's just for fun.
