6th Annual Turtle Trot

Join Great Lakes Aquarium at the 2025 Grandma's Marathon Whipper Snapper Races at Bayfront Park on Friday, June 20th!

We are excited to bring back the 6th annual 0.001K Turtle Trot! Support your favorite turtle athlete as they compete at turtle speed!

Then stick around to cheer on Splish, the Great Lakes Aquarium otter mascot, in the mascot race to kick off this year's Whipper Snapper Races.

Schedule of events:
👟 2 p.m.-5 p.m. - Visit our booth at Bayfront Festival Park
🐢 2:30 p.m. - Join us for the 0.001K Turtle Trot- Turtle Athletes at Turtle Speed
🦦 4 p.m. - Cheer on Splish in the Mascot Race
