About the event
127th Philippine Independence Day Celebration Gala 2025 (Kalayaan)
Our tradition of celebrating the anniversary of Philippine Independence on the day of June 12th itself continues and has tremendously grown in attendance since we started doing it in 2007. This year marks the 127th anniversary of Philippine Independence from the Spanish Rule, and with the leadership of Philippine Honorary Consul General Raoul “Ray” Donato, this year’s celebrations promise another stellar event in the June 12th gala night.
“Pagkakaisa” is the theme for this year’s Kalayaan Atlanta Celebration. For Filipino Americans it translates to Unity, Harmony, and Solidarity. It’s a core concept in Filipino virtue ethics, which aims to bring people closer together.
