Yin and Pin Restorative workshop with Maggie Dunne
Sunday, 28 September, 3pm-4:30pm // âŦ40
This workshop offers a holistic approach to well-being, helping participants find a state of calm and balance through slow movement, deep stillness, and healing acupuncture.
Restorative/Yin yoga, is a slow-paced practice which focuses on long-held poses and on using props such as bolsters, blocks, cushions, blankets, and belts to support the body.
Supported stretches allow the body to rest and realign in the most gentle way while encouraging the process of slowing down which can rebalance the nervous system. This restorative practice is particularly helpful if you are recovering from an injury, feeling tired or stressed, and/or need to recharge.
Acupuncture is a TCM practice (Traditional Chinese Medicine) in which thin needles are inserted into specific points to stimulate energy flow and encourage healing.
This workshop will involve 2/3 acupuncture needles during the last 20/25 minutes of the practice. The acupuncture is completely optional. You can choose to rest in a restorative pose with no needles if you prefer!
