Join renowned UK-based song leader, Su Hart, to explore the joyful and mesmerising singing of one of the most musical cultures in the world, the Baka people of the African rainforest. After memorable visits in 2023 and 2024, Su is returning to Dublin for another weekend of Baka singing.
Baka vocal music is rich in interlocking harmony and rhythm and is accessible to all regardless of singing experience. These will be fun workshops learning various mesmerising chants and songs and hearing about this fascinating hunter-gatherer culture. Su will also teach other harmony songs from around the world.
Through Su, who spent many years visiting the Baka, we will learn about their egalitarian society and how they live in harmony with the rainforest. The Baka also face many struggles, and some of the proceeds from this workshop will go back to them through Su's charity, Global Music Exchange.
This unique vocal workshop will transport you to the magical soundscape of the rainforest and you will feel an incredible sense of aliveness, oneness and joy upon leaving.
The first of the 2 days of singing, Sat 27 Sep 2025, will take place in the Carmelite Community Centre in Dublin 2 and the second, Sun 28 Sep 2025, in Monkstown, South Co. Dublin. You can attend one or both days.

Weekend is €130 or €115 early bird.
