About the event
Power of Plants - an hour with John Maher of St. Anne's Physic Garden
Did you know that mint is good for digestion, and rosemary has anti-inflammatory qualities? Do you know the power of old nettles and dandelions?
Join John Maher for a Herbwalk where we will take look at what is growing around us and what use if any do wild plants and herbs have in our modern world. Join and share some stories of your experience and knowledge of our hedgerow medicine.
John is a member of the Irish Register of Herbalists and oversees the daily running of St Anne's Physic Garden.
No booking required, just show up at 10:30 outside our market - John will walk you to the church grounds and fields, and you will know so much more about herms and plants by the end of it at 11:30! John might bring some of the interesting herbs with him too!
