At our May conference we will be focusing on the power of play in school libraries

This event explores the value of learning through play. It is relevant to librarians, teachers and anyone working with young people.

Guest Speaker: Dr Joanna Fortune

Info: Dr Joanna Fortune is an accredited psychotherapist specialising in the parent-child relationship. She is the author of the best-selling 15-Minute Parenting series of books (0-7 years; 8-12 years and the Teenage years) and her 4th book Why We Play. She is the host of the 15-Minute parenting podcast. She is an experienced clinician with 25 years of experience and is a recognised supervisor, trainer and conference speaker in her field. She is a TEDx Talk speaker and has a weekly parenting column in the Irish Examiner. She is also a regular media contributor to a variety of radio and TV shows. She is the parenting consultant on the weekly parenting slot on Newstalk’s Moncrieff for over 7 years .

Workshop: Are we on the cusp of a play renaissance in education?

Info: Dr. Jane Hession and Ronan Healy are a husband-and-wife team and the co-founders of How Might We. They support clients with team building, strategy development, and enhancing both employee and customer experience.

As advocates of the LEGO® Serious Play® method, Jane and Ronan believe that organisations hold a wealth of untapped creative potential and that play is a powerful way to access it.

They are also the hosts of The SEEKING PLAY Podcast, where they explore the value of play in organisations and work to break down the stigma surrounding adult playfulness.
