My grief is a shapeshifter, it takes the form of wrath, valour and love. My artworks speak the broken language of an aching heart. I paint my story, the characters and my dreams. The word Abanti means “gift from God”. Baba gave me the daak naam “Abanto”. I have finally gathered the courage and confidence to be able to illustrate my story. The story of love, pain, storm and the rebirth of my name. I cordially invite you all, with a warm heart, to be a part of my celebration.
