From Idea to Innovation portrays the process of wonder to meaningful exploration. It begins with an idea triggered by a specific question or issue. Systematic approaches, preliminary research, and thorough analysis help maintain an emerging understanding. Innovation is brought when creativity or refinement in the resultant solutions takes place. Inspiration and the will to contribute are the driving forces of the outcome in the real world.
As part of the “Skill Development Venture 4.0” series, the IEEE NSU Student Branch will host a workshop titled “From Idea to Innovation: Starting Your Research Journey” on the 4th August 2025. The workshop will be led by Muhammad Rafsan Kabir, a Research Assistant at the Machine Intelligence Lab, North South University. This session aims to provide an overview of the essential components, methods, and tools needed for a well-executed research journey. Participants will acquire the skills to change ideas into research questions and learn about the systematic research steps. Participants will also learn how to think innovatively and how to create solutions that can make a difference. The workshop is for those who wish to conduct research for academic, career, or personal endeavors.
