About the event

The MIRRORED TABLE: Ash & Honey
A visual, sonic, and culinary exploration presented in partnership with Mirrored Glass and Mr. Eat Right

About this Event

The MIRRORED TABLE is more than an event; it's a reflection. It is a celebration of the universal, creative spirit that all artists channel. Whether through food, paint, or sound, every creator pulls from the same divine source to manifest something real and tangible. This gathering is a mirror to that shared soul, creating a space where all art forms converge and converse.

Hosted by Mirrored Glass and Mr. Eat Right, this immersive afternoon brings together Detroit's creative community to honor this connection and, in turn, to give back from a place of abundance.

The Experience -- Set within the historic Irwin House Gallery, you are invited into a flowing, multi-sensory journey.

  • To Taste: Ascend to the heart of the event—a stunning, showpiece grazing table. Curated as a culinary interpretation of "Ash & Honey," by culinary globetrotter Chef Steve Couch, it offers a narrative of smoky, savory, sweet, and golden flavors designed for exploration and delight. Complimentary mimosas will be served.
  • To See: Immerse yourself in a curated exhibition of visual art, with works that activate the gallery into a space for dialogue and quiet contemplation.
  • To Hear: Experience a sublime, atmospheric harp performance by Ackeem Salmon , along with a rich, layered DJ-curated soundscape. With music flowing through the afternoon, these artists use songs as instruments to craft the rhythm of Ash & Honey.

How the Afternoon Will Unfold -- To ensure an intimate and personal experience for all our guests, the afternoon is designed to be explored at your own pace.

  • A Flowing Experience (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM): Guests are welcome to arrive, mingle, and depart at their leisure. The showpiece grazing table, visual art exhibition, and the DJ's soulful soundscape will be available for your enjoyment throughout the entire event.
  • Moments of Shared Focus: To create anchors for the afternoon, the harp trio will hold two special performances: at both 2PM and 4PM. This structure allows for a natural flow of guests while ensuring everyone can witness the featured live music without a rigid schedule.

The Deeper Meaning: The "Why"

This event is born from a place of profound gratitude. The artists and organizers behind The Mirrored Table recognize that their creative paths were paved by the grace, support, and generosity of others. Now, from a position of abundance, we feel a deep responsibility to give back and ensure that other emerging artists have the support and opportunities needed to cultivate their own unique talents.

Proceeds from this event will directly fund the Mirrored Glass foundation, providing artists with the financial resources and dedicated time essential to pursuing their creative passions.

Join us at The Mirrored Table to celebrate the profound connection between all forms of creativity and to help build a stronger, more supportive arts community for the future.
