Come craft something beautiful—by hand and from the heart. In this laid-back, beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll explore the art of leather earring making using premium, lightweight leather. You’ll learn how to cut, shape, and finish your own designs, walking away with two custom pairs made entirely by you. Whether you’re getting crafty for the first time or just want to try something different, this is a perfect way to tap into your creativity.
All materials are included, and no experience is necessary. Led by Sarah Feldman, founder of Detroit-based leather goods brand Bespoke By Feldman.
Sarah Feldman is the Founder and Lead Leathersmith behind Bespoke By Feldman, a Detroit-based leather goods company committed to sustainability, craftsmanship, and accessibility. With over 20 years of experience in the arts, customer service, and strategy, Sarah brings both creative vision and practical business acumen to every piece she creates. Since launching in 2020, she has grown Bespoke By Feldman into a trusted, woman-owned brand with a global following, a 70% customer return rate, and a strong local presence at Detroit’s Eastern Market and beyond. Sarah’s work is rooted in the belief that luxury should be inclusive, ethical, and built to last, values she expresses through meticulously crafted bags, jewelry, accessories, and pet goods made from high-quality leather. Every design reflects her passion for original storytelling through materials, and her unwavering commitment to quality and sustainability.
My work is driven by the idea that the things we carry should carry meaning. At Bespoke By Feldman, I design and craft leather goods that challenge the fast fashion cycle, celebrate individuality, and honor the stories embedded in each material. “Bespoke” is not just a name, it’s a promise. Every item I create is made in small batches, using over 90% of every hide, with the intention of preserving both the integrity of the leather and the environment. I am inspired by Detroit’s spirit, resilient, resourceful, and real, and I strive to reflect that in pieces that are as durable as they are beautiful. My studio practice combines traditional leatherworking techniques with a modern aesthetic and a firm stance on ethical production. Whether it’s a wallet, a handbag, or a custom pet collar, I want each piece to feel like a collaboration between the material, the maker, and the wearer.
