Dexter Reunion

The long awaited Dexter reunion title the redemption. Dexter is the known area for the young boys INC. 30 years later after incarcerations and friends deaths many of the YBI has moved onto different paths of life. As a YBI; outside of my home, I affiliated from Z8ne, Dexter, Number Streets and Linwood. Most YBI’s migrated from gangs. The 1970’s Detroit was infested with gangs; Gf’s, M $ M, Chain Gang, FA’s, JP’s, BK’s, Bowery Bishop’s (Vandyke). The late 70’s heron filtered the streets Of Detroit. Skipping school, stealing and robbing at the age of 10, our older Homies introduced heron to us as a “better means” of making money. Some of us became drug dealers, others societies most wanted. Eventually most of us met back up in prison, with life sentences and some with long indeterminate numbers of years. I did 25 years of my life in prison. I’ve always wasted to do something that would make a drastic impact on our children and community today. I believe Dexter Reunion will bring Detroit together. Most of the people in Detroit has some type of affiliations with Dexter or the YBI. YBI was not just hood affiliated. Most of Detroit knows somebody that was affiliated. I have changed my life from the person I use to be and most of my friends have to. We are all ready to make a difference. Some of our associates are still incarcerated. We want to get them home with their families. It’s is my hopes that this reunion will began bring Detroit together so the lion and the lamb can lay down and neither be harmed.
