Please read over this message to get all of the details about the fishing tournament. This includes the schedule, rules, and procedures. Make sure to bring a fishing rod, bait, a life jacket for children who are under 6, and any other supplies you may need. We have extra supplies, bait, rods, and life jackets just in case you are in need of these items.
9:00-9:30: Parking and Checking In
Regular Parking will not be at Jones Fish Camp. Parking will be at Mount Anderson Baptist Church 4818 NC-16, Maiden, NC 28650. We will shuttle people to Jones Fish Camp. If you need handicap parking you may park at Jones Fish Camp.
Once you arrive at Jones Fish Camp by shuttle come to the registration table to check in or register your child. Every child fishing must have a parent sign a consent form to fish. After signing in, each child will receive a number, grab bag, t-shirt, life jacket, and an assigned section.
9:45-10:00 Rules and Pre-Tournament Activities
At this time be at your assigned spot and listen to rules and regulations over the speakers. Volunteers will be spread around the pond to help answer any questions or help with anything you may need.
Rules
•Each family must have an attending adult.
•Waivers must be signed & turned in at check in.
•Young children 6 and under need life jackets.
•No lines in water until announced.
•Please do not cross the painted lines on the ground to avoid falling in the water.
•You may bring: Rods, Bait-tackle, life jackets, chairs, blankets.
•Please be patient while the final scoring takes place. We have a lot of prizes for special anglers.
10:00-12:00 Fishing and Rotations
Fishing will take place for about 20 minutes at each section. Each child will have a chance to fish in 4 different spots to catch a fish! We will announce when it is time to switch places.
Special prizes will be given out during the tournament, numbers will be called.
At each section we will have volunteers who will be there to help bait hooks, carry and weigh caught fish.
12:00 Lunch and Awards
All adults and children are invited to have a hot dog while we give out awards. Please be patient as we shuttle people back to their vehicles after awards are given!
