Auditioners,
This unique comedy, directed by Nicole Probst and Helen Reikofski, combines many iconic elements of theatre performance. Set in 1934 in the golden age of Hollywood, this script encounters a little Shakespeare (some lines taken more seriously than others), characters based on real-life celebrities, and fast-paced farce. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script; bonus for research done on the original characters based in reality of the time period and how you would depict them on stage. At some point we may ask a few of you to recite a little Shakespeare, hear your best Austrian accent, or sing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame”. In the end, we hope to have as much fun at auditions as we did when we read the script the first time.
Attend Monday June 16 OR Tuesday June 17, no need to attend both days, invitation-only callbacks Wednesday June 18.
