Preschool for All Expansion (PFAE) Informational Booth

The NIU Preschool for All Expansion (PFAE) is a kindergarten readiness family partnership program. Funded by the Illinois State Board of Education, the program focuses on children’s social, emotional and academic development to help prepare them for kindergarten and provides high quality early childhood education for children that qualify. Children must be 3 or 4 years old on or before September 1 of the program year. PFAE hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and the program runs from August to May. Children are off for the summer. Families do not pay since the program covers the cost of childcare.

Families that are interested in the program are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Families can visit go.niu.edu/freepreschool for the application and more information. PFAE will have flyers at the library and a family coordinator present to answer questions about the program.

This informational booth will be held in the main lobby. No registration is required. All ages are welcome.
