We Bury the Dead reimagines the zombie genre as an atmospheric meditation on grief and survival. Daisy Ridley delivers a quietly gripping performance as Ava, a woman searching for her missing husband in post-apocalyptic Tasmania, where the dead don’t always stay buried. While Mark Coles Smith is unlike anything you’ve seen him in before! This visually stunning, emotionally resonant thriller premiered at South by Southwest (SXSW). It has made its way around the Australian Film Festival circuit and now reaches Darwin for its Northern Territory premiere.
