Drawing deeply from real-life experiences and four years in the making, Tracy brings to life the journey of Director, Kostadinos Hatzivalsamis’, own family history, with his brother Alex Hatzivalsamis powerfully portraying Panayioti Papaemmanuil. Filmed over six weeks with an all-Darwin cast, this heartfelt tribute captures a defining moment in history - one that has become a vital thread in the fabric of our rich and unique Top End culture.

In December of 1974, the unsuspecting citizens of Darwin prepare for Christmas festivities. Morris dreams of adventure, Lisa chases elusive contentment, and Gregory wrestles with duty. All have their worlds upturned when Cyclone Tracy rears her head and devastates the city on Christmas Day.
