Please join the Institute for Policy Innovation (IPI) on June 9th for our special luncheon with former Senator Phil Gramm to discuss his new book, The Triumph of Economic Freedom, released May 13.
From the book description: Since the dawn of the Industrial Revolution, capitalism has unleashed unimaginable growth in opportunity and prosperity. And yet, at key points in American history, economic disruption has led to a greater role for government, ostensibly to protect against capitalism’s excesses.
In The Triumph of Economic Freedom, Phil Gramm, one of America’s premier public policy advocates, and noted economist Donald J. Boudreaux look at the seven events and issues in American history that most Americans think justify the role of government in restraining capitalism. Gramm and Boudreaux argue that the evidence points to a contrary verdict: government interference and failed policies pose the most significant threat to economic freedom.
Luncheon tickets are available, including tickets that include a signed copy of the book. Table sponsorships are also available.
Don't forget, lunch is complimentary to those who generously support IPI at the Member level and above through IPI's Giving Society. If you have donated at this level, please contact dG9tZyB8IGlwaSAhIG9yZw== for discount code or to arrange for a copy of the book.
