Step into the rhythm of 18th-century elegance in the candlelit charm of The Stable at Mountain Run Winery. Whether you're brushing up for the Lafayette Grand Ball or just looking for a midweek adventure, these lively, lighthearted evenings are for you.
💃 Led by Mr. Charles Steplively – our celebrated Grand Ball Dance Master – you’ll learn the steps of English Country Dance in a relaxed, social setting. No partner? No problem. No experience? Even better.
🎭 Costumes encouraged!
It’s the perfect chance to twirl in your ballgown, test out your regalia, or simply soak in the historic atmosphere.
🍷 Evening tip: Enjoy dinner in downtown Culpeper, then arrive early to sip a glass of wine, cider, or mead from the Mountain Run bar—open from 6:15 to 6:45 PM.
🕰️ Dancing begins promptly at 6:45 PM—please arrive on time, as late arrivals may disrupt the flow.

These events are free for all Grand Ball and Polo ticket holders. Community guests are warmly welcome by donation (as space allows).
