Birding with Parks

Join Citrus County Parks and Recreation for an exciting Birding with Parks experience led by Florida Naturalist and Recreation Program Specialist Alice Mary Herden. Participants will explore the unique and diverse habitats of various locations, embarking on guided nature walks to observe and learn about the fascinating array of bird species that inhabit these areas.

Ozello Community Park is a perfect spot to watch coastal birds. This location consists of a small walk followed by a sit-and-watch, which is the ideal time to observe the birds while discussing their species and behaviors. The walk is in full sun, so bringing sunscreen and a hat is recommended. This location has a port-a-potty.
