Films on Song is a post punk band out of Charlottesville, Virginia founded by Teeter and Francis. The band have experimented with different sounds in the genre, from the full blown MBV shoegaze of ‘Titania’, to the twee-tinged indie pop of ‘Flowers in May’.
They have released 3 EPS: ‘Too True’, ‘False Starts’, and ‘Fake Endings’, as well as the album ‘Slightly Nightly’. Each offering has a variety of sounds and unique musings that you can lose yourself to and find yourself thinking about.
Films are currently working on their second album and continuing to progress into the void. With their drummer Max, bassist Mac, and keyboardist Carolyn in tow, the collective seek to move you, surprise you, and deliver well crafted post punk songs from every facet of the sound.
Studebaker Huck is a Virginia-based "dark country" band known for their unique blend of punk rock musicianship and country hooks. The band consists of Jarrod Zbieg, Bobby Finley, Zach Bradshaw, and Andrew Mundell. Their latest album, "Blood Moon," was released in February 2022, marking a significant milestone in their musical journey!
"Blood Moon" showcases the band's growth and maturity, with a more refined sound that blends acoustic guitars, horns, organ, and fuzzed-out e-bow.
The album features 12 tracks, including "Heading West" and "Tough Luck," which are standout songs that showcase the band's energetic and authentic sound. With "Blood Moon," Studebaker Huck solidifies their position in the Americana alt-rock scene, offering a unique and captivating listening experience.
