Have you ever wanted to learn partner dancing?
Swing dance and Lindy hop is such a fabulous style of dance. Love the music, love the fashion and love the community.
We are so excited to bring to Creswick Neighbourhood Centre; Central Highlands Swing Dance Community.
We deliver fun, regular weekly classes, fitness, workshops, and dance parties with live bands to country Victoria.
Partner dancing class is on at 6.30 pm till 7.30 pm
This class will incorporate beginners level moves and is suitable for beginners but will also cater to those who have experience. We dance with partners to learn lead and follow. There are no set routines and we learn new content every block.
You do not need a partner as we rotate partners throughout the class.
Solo Jazz - and routine based swing 7.30 pm till 8.30 pm
In this class we will learn different variations of common swing moves to add into our partner dancing or to be able to dance call and response.
Routines like the Shim Sham and other group dances where we all dance the same steps will also be learned in this class.
Which class do I choose?
Most of our students will do both classes. You can do one or the other if you like.
Thursdays from 24 July to 28 August
$250 per person (for both classes) or $144 for one or the other - 6 weeks (please register for the entire block. Attending casually doesn't really work in this instance)
