Friday June 6th Omaha and Council Bluffs are doing Summerfest to kick off the season and it's a great opportunity to get out and share Acrobatics with the community. We want to build connections, introduce newcomers, and spread the joy of acro with our local community.
The event starts at 6pm and goes until 10pm, concluding with a drone light show once it gets dark. There will be lots of vendors and fun things to do. Our plan is to show up with blankets and our crash mats, and jam while encouraging people who want to try. Just beginner skills for the passerby people please.
We would encourage everyone to bring water, snacks, their own blanket/mat, bug spray, and wear acro clothing with an extra layer for once it gets darker (depending on the forecast). Bring a towel or two, and some hand sanitizer too since we are going to be working with the public.
We don't have a good location decided upon just yet, but watch this event on the day of for a post about where to find us. I'm not sure where the vendors & everything will be set up on the day.
There is a large parking garage with 700 spaces right next to Tom Hanafan Park so plan on using that unless you want to park in Omaha and cross the pedestrian bridge to get there. Anyone with large mats we would advise to use the garage.
