Cooking with Seitan

Monday, March 30 – 4-6 p.m. Plant-Based Perfection -A Tasty Exploration with Less Meat – Cooking with Seitan with Macro Mon Sarah Forrester.

Seitan is a popular, high-protein meat substitute made from wheat gluten, also known as "wheat meat". It has a chewy, dense, and savory texture similar to meat, making it versatile for dishes like stir-fries, stews, burgers, and sausages, and it absorbs flavors well. Seitan is a soy-free, plant-based option, but it is not suitable for those with gluten intolerance or celiac disease.

Free, but the class size is limited to 12, so Miltonvale Park residents have priority registration until March 22. If you are a non-resident, register now, and your seat will be confirmed after the 22nd.

Funded by the Province of Prince Edward Island, through a Live Well PEI grant from the Department of Health and Wellness for a Milton Community Hall project titled More Plants More Health. Other sessions in the Mondays at 4 p.m. Plant-Based Perfection Series are April 20 – Nut meat, and May 4 – Tofu.
