We all have moments where we avoid speaking our truth - or speak out and immediately regret it. Whether it’s tension at work, misunderstandings in close relationships, or long-standing issues we don’t know how to address, difficult conversations can take a toll on our life.
In this special talk, which includes a guided meditation, visiting teacher Kadam Morten Clausen, Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center New York City, will offer a fresh and deeply practical approach to communication. Drawing on Buddhist wisdom and meditation, he will show how we can face challenging conversations with clarity, confidence, and compassion.
Through understanding our own mind and letting go of unhelpful reactions like defensiveness or fear, we can begin to relate to others in a way that is both clear and kind. When we learn to approach communication from a place of inner peace, even the most difficult discussions can become opportunities for connection and growth.
This special talk is open to everyone and especially relevant in today’s world, where misunderstandings and emotional tension often cloud our relationships. You’ll leave with practical tools and renewed confidence that it’s possible to speak your truth—without losing your peace.
