Soft body betyder direkte oversat den bløde krop, men som begreb rummer det kontrasten mellem blødt og hårdt, levende og mekanisk, menneske og maskine. I 3D-verdenen refererer soft body til en virtuel, deformerbar genstand. En måde at gengive kroppens skrøbelighed i en kunstig virkelighed.

I filosofisk forstand peger begrebet mod et større spørgsmål: Hvad sker der, når den menneskelige krop møder maskinen, robotten og teknologien, der er alt andet end blød?
I dette spændingsfelt opstår der både håb og frygt - håbet om at teknologien kan udvide verden, give os nye muligheder, men samtidig frygten for at mennesket mister dens betydning, at frakoblingen eller forandringen gør os fremmede for os selv.
Udstillingen undersøger balancen mellem blødhed og hårdhed, mellem krop og maskine:

Hvordan forholder vi os til en tid, hvor grænserne mellem menneske og teknologi er mere flydende?

Soft body as a term contains a contrast between soft and hard, living and mechanical, human and machine. In the 3D world soft body refers to a virtual, deformable object. A way to reproduce the body’s fragility in an artificial reality.

In a philosophical sense, the concept raises a larger question: What happens when the human body meets the machine, the robot, and the technology that is anything but soft? Within this field of tension arise both hope and fear. A hope that technology can expand our world and give us new opportunities, but also the fear that human beings may lose importance, that disconnection or changes makes us strangers to ourselves.

This exhibition explores the balance between softness and hardness, between body and machine:
How do we relate to a time when the boundaries between humans and technology are more fluid?
