Poetry Society of New Hampshire: Holley Daschback and Patrice Pinette

Join the Poetry Society of New Hampshire from 4:30-6pm for an afternoon of verse! Their headliners this month are Holley Daschbach and Patrice Pinette, hosted by their publisher, Mike Nelson of Bee Monk Press. An open mic follows their readings.

Holley Daschbach’s poems have been published in Conceptions Southwest, The Brookline Education Journal, LitFUUSE, Piscataqua Poems 2, Womanthought, and Sinister Wisdom. She has been writing poetry for many years, and this is her first book of poetry. Holley is a Montessori teacher as well as a tutor and former public school teacher. She feels peaceful and grounded when working with children, singing, reading or tramping about in the woods allowing poems to percolate. She teaches at the Cornerstone School and lives in the NH Seacoast area.

Patrice Pinette received her MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts. In the Connections Program of New Hampshire Humanities, she facilitates book discussions with adult learners of English from all over the world. She also leads poetry workshops in the Transdisciplinary Studies in Healing Education program at Antioch University New England, and Center for Anthroposophy’s Renewal Courses. Patrice’s poems have appeared in literary journals and anthologies including Pensive: A Global Journal of Spirituality & the Arts, Touchstone Journal, Poet Showcase: An Anthology of New Hampshire Poets, Allegro Poetry Journal, Hampden-Sydney Poetry Review, and elsewhere.
