SCORE is a national nonprofit supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) that provides free business mentoring, resources, and education to help entrepreneurs start, grow, and succeed. Their volunteer mentors include experienced executives, business owners, and industry experts who offer confidential, one-on-one guidance. They also provide free or low-cost workshops, templates, and tools to help businesses navigate challenges such as business planning, marketing, funding, operations, and scaling.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from the River Valley Black Chamber of Commerce (RVBCC), a pivotal organization dedicated to empowering Black-owned businesses in Columbus, Georgia, and the surrounding River Valley region.

Once the networking rounds begin, you’ll move through a series of timed face-to-face conversations with other businesses. You’ll have just a few minutes to introduce yourself, share what you do, and discuss ways you might support or collaborate with each other.
Each participant will receive a Networking Success Bag with space to hold business cards, notes, and partner resources collected throughout the event.
You’ll also receive a Connection Scorecard—a simple tool to rate each conversation, take quick notes, and track follow-up actions after the event.
This structured yet fast-paced experience is designed to help you make the most connections in the least amount of time—so bring your cards, your energy, and your best introduction!
