On July 18, 2025, ACDA will be holding another summer reading session hosted by Dr. Jabarie Glass, assisted by other graduate students and our student leadership. As we’re aware this school year is coming to an end, we want to make sure that we get on your radar as summer is still very busy for musicians! Below, I’ve included a FAQ regarding the event. If there are any more questions, feel free to email

What?
The summer reading session mimics that of reading sessions that you may encounter at state, regional, or national level conferences. The goal of the reading session is to introduce audiences to music and concepts they may not be familiar with, especially arrangements for different voicings: mixed voice, treble voice, and tenor bass voices. Music will be provided via the JWPepper Reading Session app on mobile devices.
Additionally, we will be hosting other “interest sessions” such as a teacher led intro session from our very own DMA student Brian Niu, and a student led intro session from our ACDA undergrad student leadership.
