Award-winning, #1 New York Times bestselling author CJ Box will discuss his Joe Pickett series and recent works including Battle Mountain as part of Richland Library's Broader Bookshelf program. The author talk will be followed by a reception, book sale, and book signing.
The Broader Bookshelf Reading Challenge encourages readers to expand their bookshelves and seek out new authors and challenging subjects. Mr. Box will talk about his long-running Joe Pickett series, including the latest Battle Mountain. Mr. Box's work responds to the 2025 Broader Bookshelf prompt "Read a book set in Montana, Oregon, Washington, or Wyoming."
Broader Bookshelf programs are funded through the Richland Library Friends and Foundation, the Central Carolina Community Foundation, and the Bagwell Revocable Living Trust in memory of Marianne and Ed Bagwell.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

In 2008, Box was awarded the "BIG WYO" Award from the state tourism industry. An avid outdoorsman, Box has hunted, fished, hiked, ridden, and skied throughout Wyoming and the Mountain West. He served on the Board of Directors for the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo and the Wyoming Office of Tourism. They have three daughters and four grandchildren.
