Our June meeting will start with an optional visit to the BRBA apiary at 1:30. There are 3 colonies to inspect. Hives will be opened and colony status will be evaluated. Inspections and discussion of the colonies should take about 45 minutes (1:30-2:15). The apiary is located near the lower parking lot of the MU A.L. Gustin Gold Course is below. Personal protection clothing is required.
Our June meeting will be in-person at the Animal Science Building on the MU campus.Clay Stem will demonstrate the club's extraction equipment and discuss how he prepares and markets honey for sale.

Additionally, we will discuss some of the seasonal activities beekeepers could be doing in June/July. This will include evaluating your colony's general health and monitoring pest activities!
We will not have a bee and flower photo contest this month. Continue to send your photos to Carl Korschgen for the July contest.
