Creative Healing Symposium 2025

We would like to invite you to the 2025 Creative Healing Symposium, a collaborative experience between women Veterans and Truman VA programs. This event is specifically designed to support the unique needs of women Veterans and to create a sense of belonging.

We invite you to consider joining fellow women Veterans and meet new friends as our 3rd annual symposium kicks off with the theme of “Post-Trauma Growth: Honoring Multiple Paths to Healing.” Hear from two women Veterans who rose above extreme challenges and now share their stories on a broader stage through written narrative and moving art.

Lunch will be served and one of the Truman VA’s Healthy Teaching Kitchen nutritionists will demonstrate and discuss healthy eating to support women Veterans throughout the lifespan.

Truman VA staff and Providers, including our OB-GYN Team, will be offering informative presentations during this event, addressing all stages of women Veterans’ health. These presentations will seek to promote awareness of the many services and programs offered at Truman VA.

Please join us from 9:30am-3:45pm on Thursday, June 12, 2025, which is also known in Missouri as “Women Veterans Appreciation Day.” This event will take place in the Patient Education Center on the first floor of Truman VA. To provide an optimal experience for each participant, the Symposium is purposefully kept to a limited number. Please let us know if you planning to attend. We hope to see you there!
