Brunch Around the World!

Uptown Columbia is gearing up for a neighborhood-wide cultural and culinary celebration with the upcoming “Brunch Around the World” event on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The event is free to attend, with food and drinks available for purchase, allowing guests to sample global cuisines at their own pace in one afternoon.

In this immersive event, local businesses in Uptown Columbia will represent different countries and regions through brunch dishes, drinks, and cultural flair. Attendees can pick up a “Brunch Around the World” passport and collect stamps at each location. Completed passports can be submitted for the Uptown Columbia raffle basket featuring items and gift cards from Uptown Columbia businesses and supporters.

International offerings include:

• Curiosity Coffee (Mexico): Free Mexican wine & coffee tasting, Moctezuma’s food truck.
• The War Mouth (United Kingdom): Cornish pasties and free UK beer tasting.
• Gardener’s Outpost (Germany): Free German wine tasting, The Haute Dog Lady food truck.
• Vino Garage (France): Enjoy French-themed food and wine specials.
• Noma Bistro (Middle East): Traditional Middle Eastern dishes.
• Il Focolare (Italy): Pizza,Italian wine, and Spaghett cocktail special.
• Indah (Asia): Asian coffee with food from Kusina Filipina and Gimbap Station.
• Rambo’s Fat Cat Biscuits (Caribbean): Caribbean-style biscuit sandwiches.
• Peddlers & Makers Market (Colombia): Mary’s Arepas food truck.

“This event is about celebrating the cultural diversity within our own city and supporting the small businesses that make Uptown Columbia such a vibrant place,” said Greg Slattery, a representative of the Uptown Columbia Association, the local business collective organizing the event. “We’re excited to offer a free-to-attend dining and cultural experience that’s delicious while supporting walking around the neighborhood.”

The event is walkable, family-friendly, and offers a casual way to explore new cultures and cuisines without leaving Columbia. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or just curious, join us on Sunday, June 1st, from 11 AM to 3 PM for a brunch experience that spans continents and brings the whole community together!
