Not all learning happens in a classroom — sometimes, you need a lab.
This week, we’re taking a hands-on, self-guided approach to dance growth. Entropy Lab is all about testing, failing, refining, and discovering what works best for you. Work on patterns, try something new, or get feedback from fellow dancers. It’s an open space where structured chaos leads to breakthroughs.

Q&A
Q: What is West Coast Swing?
A: West coast is a modern swing dance that derives from Lindy Hop and Hustle. It is commonly danced to Pop, Rock, Funk, Blues, and Jazz.
Q: Do you offer beginner lessons?
A: Yes, beginners are welcome. No experience is required.
Q: Do I need a partner?
A: Dance partners are not required.
Q: Do I need special shoes?
A: Many dancers wear shoes with velvet bottoms, but these are not mandatory. We recommend flat shoes such as ballet flats, loafers, or sneakers with loose grip bottoms, closed backs, and laces. On rainy or snowy days we ask that you bring a separate pair to keep our dance floor dry & salt-free.
Q: Is it family-friendly?
A: Minors (14+ recommended) must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older and the legal guardian must register on behalf of the minor before participating.
Q: Where do I enter?
A: Door 1.
Q: Where do I park?
The Center has two dedicated lots accessed from Market street and from the alley, as well as street parking. Note on First Fridays during Summer months, parking may be available on the street a few blocks away.
Q: Is it handicap accessible?
A: Yes. Notify us in advance to open a handicap door to the building, accessed from the alley parking lot.
