JANE'S WALK 11: The Forgotten Churches and Graveyards of Colchester

From the pre-Christian era to the Victorian, from Greek Orthodox to Quakers, from Muslim to Masonic, we have always had churches. Colchester's former churches have become a museum, an arts centre, a masonic hall, a theatre, or have been demolished entirely leaving only a few gravestones. This walk will discover many forgotten gems as well as highlight the different attitudes to preserving our past. With Robert Johnstone.

Meet: 6pm, Colchester War Memorial, High St (2m, 2hrs)

ACCESSIBILITY: A city centre walk that is hard-surfaced and low gradient all the way.
