On the day!!
Just a few little things to help you and your hound(s).
Once you get to the front gate, drive straight down the back (see pin drop) and find a park. Slow and steady wins this race. As there could be a large number of hounds around.
This monthly get together is FREE as are all social club events. The Meadows has allocated the time slot just for us. So please be punctual, any issues with use of the facilities can be directed to me (Atticus) on the day.
You have sole responsibility for your hound. While guidance will be given, ultimately your hounds safety is your responsibility. Understanding your hound and their behavior is key. They are retired for a reason, so let's not encourage injuries, just fun!!.
Yes your hound will get to enjoy the galloping yard with 2-3 other hounds. However the final assessment will be guided by myself and you the human aka twolegs!!
The slipping track is a solo affair. Some run instantly and others not so. It's a greyhound thing....right?
A cool down and water station has been installed right next to the galloping yard!!!
Please water and wash your hounds paws after each gallop. Keeping their toes free of any foreign objects is super important.
Please don't bring any dog toys. A ball for the yard is fine , however we don't want to create a frenzy. Remember collisions K*ll!
Open to greyhounds only. No other dogs are permitted into the grounds of the Meadows.
