The Lake Superior Libraries Symposium is a regional conference and organization designed to help library staff in the Upper Midwest develop enhanced professional networks and promote resource sharing and communication between organizations.
Our 2025 Summer Symposium will be held Friday, June 6 at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College in Cloquet, Minnesota. Our keynote speaker will be American Library Association President-Elect Sam Helmick.
This year’s theme, “Embrace, Engage, Excel: Libraries in Their Communities,” challenges attendees to consider the relationship between their libraries and the communities they serve. How do we ensure that libraries are welcoming to all? What can we do to engage with the library-anxious? How can we continue to serve library users while maintaining a commitment to our professional values?
