Venomous Snakes of the Southeast

Join Dr. Chris Jenkins, venomous snake expert and CEO of the Orianne Society at Black Rock on July 16th in celebration of World Snake Day. Drawing from his extensive field research and conservation expertise, Dr. Jenkins will spotlight the venomous snake species native to the southeastern United States, focusing on how to identify them, understand their behaviors, and appreciate the ecological roles they play. This talk will not only raise awareness but also foster respect for these crucial, yet often misunderstood, reptiles. Meet the snakes and get all your snake questions answered!
Meet at the amphitheater in the campground behind the Trading Post at 2pm. A $5 park pass or annual pass is required for all events.
