Sew & Tell Group

Share your passion with like minded sewing enthusiasts! Led by Cindy, our new group comes together in monthly gatherings. Have fun with Sew & Tell, monthly challenges, exclusive demos, sewing camaraderie, group member discounts. It's your new happy place to be!

This club is designed for those with some sewing experience, but all skill levels are welcome!

The challenge for this meeting is "April Showers Bring May Flowers" and we also want to know what is your favorite sewing tool! The "flowers" challenge leaves a lot of room for interpretation! Fabric flowers, fabric with flowers, embellishments - anything with flowers or resembles flowers works! I will be excited to see what you all come up with!!!

Our last meeting- we had the challenge of "Menswear." There were so many great ideas and projects!

• Simplicity 8693- "backwards shirt"
• "Advance"- vintage pattern shirt dress pattern was used from Mercari (second hand shop)
• Wide leg trousers and a young mans suit!!
• Cut up and used a mens work shirt for piping! (I copied this idea in a recent project!)
• Sewperb pattern - Rosewood Waistcoat
• Some other great pointers that came out of the meeting - Ace Hardware will sharpen scissors. Many in the group thought that if you are in the market for a new serger - do not buy a combo serger/cover stitch machine. It is cheaper to buy 2 seperate machines - a serger and a cover stitch machine.
