Wrap up the week with peaceful projects and mindful creativity!
Join The Mindfulness Movement at Turtle Lake Elementary for the Make & Take: Calming Creations – Winter Series, a 3-week after-school enrichment class for students in grades 1–5. Each week, kids will create a winter-themed sensory project that supports creativity, emotional regulation, and mindfulness—and take it home to use again and again!
Each session includes a cozy, hands-on project:
❄️ Week 1: Falling Snow Sensory Bottles
Shake, swirl, and relax as you create your own snowy mindfulness bottle.
✨ Week 2: Snowflake Slime
Sparkly, stretchy, and perfect for chilly-day calming play.
🍪 Week 3: Gingerbread Play Dough
Create, sculpt, and smell the joy of winter with spiced calming dough.
Led by licensed teacher Tara Willits, this peaceful and playful class helps students slow down, express themselves, and enjoy mindful moments through art.
