❄️ Winter Hours at the Harriet Beecher Stowe House ❄️
Featuring Holiday Ornament-Making in the Historic Edgemont Inn & Tavern!
We’re excited to welcome you for our special Winter Hours, running Fridays and Saturdays, December 5, 2025 through January 3, 2026!
Please note: Our 2026 Season officially reopens Thursday, January 29, 2026.
This winter, visitors can explore the incredible history witnessed inside these walls—told through two powerful time periods, 100 years apart:
✨ 1840: When a young Harriet Beecher Stowe lived in Cincinnati as a teacher and mother, gathering the experiences that would shape Uncle Tom’s Cabin.
✨ 1940: When Irene Bacon operated the home as the Edgemont Inn, a Green Book–listed boarding house and tavern that served as a safe and welcoming space for Black travelers.
And for a special seasonal touch, your visit now includes holiday ornament-making inside the historic Edgemont Inn & Tavern. Craft a keepsake inspired by the stories, traditions, and community spirit that make this site so meaningful.
🎟 Your ticket includes:
• Admission to the museum
• Access to our outdoor exhibit
• Entry to our rotating exhibit display
• All ornament-making materials
Come celebrate winter, history, and creativity with us — and make something truly memorable.
