About the event

The Art of Peer Supervision: Holding Space, Building Strength
Gain tools to supervise peer staff with confidence, addressing challenges, boundaries, and wellness while sustaining the peer workforce

About this Event

Supervising peer recovery support staff is a unique and meaningful responsibility that requires specialized approaches. Traditional supervision models do not always translate to peer-led roles, where lived experience, recovery values, and boundaries intersect with professional practice.

This training, The Art of Peer Supervision: Holding Space, Building Strength, will prepare supervisors, peers, and organizational leaders to provide effective, recovery-oriented supervision that sustains both professional development and personal recovery wellness.

Participants will explore:

  • Core knowledge and values of peer recovery support
  • How supervising peers differs from supervising non-peers
  • Challenges such as boundaries, burnout, and role clarity
  • Reflective, supportive, and educational supervision practices
  • Strategies to sustain the peer profession through community connection

Who Should Attend
  • Peer Recovery Support Supervisors
  • Peer Recovey Supporters
  • ALL Behavioral Health Professionals
  • Program Managers & Directors
  • Recovery Community Leaders
  • Anyone interested in strengthening peer-based workforce sustainability

Presenters
  • Cassidy Lekan

  • Hannah Schilling

These leaders bring lived experience, professional expertise, and years of commitment to advancing peer recovery support supervision.
