Passport to Japan

Join the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library, Asianati and the Japan America Society of Greater Cincinnati for a celebration of Japanese culture!

Guests will experience the art, culture, and food of Japan through various performances, workshops, crafts and much more.

All Day: Anime/Manga & Trinket Swap, Riichi Mahjong, Walk-Up Calligraphy, Anime Character Perler Beads, Cherry Blossom Painting, Tabletop Gaming, snacks by BentOn, and more!

10:30-11:30 am: Tea Ceremony Workshop*

11:00 am–12:00 pm: Asianati Mascot Meet & Greet

11:30 am—1:00 pm: Japanese Calligraphy (Shodo) Workshop*

1:00 pm: Taiko Drum Performance

1:30 pm: Taiko Drum Workshop

1:30-3:30 pm: Japanese Flower Arrangement (Ikebana) Workshop*

2:00-3:00pm: Asianati Mascot Meet & Greet

2:30 pm: “The Little Kokeshi Doll” Performance and Workshop*
