Intro to Tatreez + Tatreez Circle Workshop (Palestinian Embroidery)

Queer Palestinian - Lebanese artist, Chris Sifri, will be leading participants in a workshop on tatreez - Palestinian traditional cross-stitch embroidery. The workshop will include an exploration of the history of Palestinian embroidery and its importance in Palestinian culture. Participants will learn the basics of tatreez and begin stitching a Palestinian embroidery pattern. This practice rooted in collectivism, storytelling, and resistance invites participants to explore their own history and community grief and healing.

This workshop is free and open to all ages - patterns and supplies are provided.
