Dementia Awareness Session

Here is the second upcoming event at Hillside.

Age UK Lancashire have arranged a session on Saturday 7th February from 10am to 12 noon here at Hillside on School Lane, Brinscall for anyone who is living with or caring for someone living with dementia or just wants to gain a broad understanding of the disease and its effects on daily life. This is a positive, interactive session which provides practical ideas and tips to support carers and help individuals live well with dementia.
We will discuss the different types of dementia, the symptoms, practical support to help individuals retain their independence for as long as possible, changes in spatial and visual awareness, hallucinations and much more.
Refreshments will be provided.
