“The spirit of the times is one of joyless urgency” Marilynne Robinson. Taking time at the end of a busy week, away from your devices to connect with real people. Practice senses-based Pause Moments* in the serenity of the park. Linzi will offer suggested techniques for you to try.
We'll sit together to discuss what 'living slower' means and where Pause Moments* fit into a slower lifestyle. Explore our relationship with time. The aim of this workshop is to sense into the natural environment and to discuss what slower living means for you.
* Pause Moments are times for noticing when you need to just stop what you're doing or thinking for a while. Especially when you're feeling overwhelmed, after an intense period of mental concentration or the busyness of life's productivity.
Pause Moments provide freedom of choice from a variety of sense-based experiences. Transitioning you into a slower, calmer state which is healthier for your mind, body and life.
Burn out, trauma, anxiety and life changing situations affect all of us. Pause Moments are do-able self care practices to increase the feel good hormones and reduce the stress ones.
We tune in with ourselves, attuning to what we 'need'. We improve our relationship with ourselves, being loving, thoughtful, kind and curious. Isn't that what we all seek in a good relationship?
